the experience

Ready to have the Yet To Be experience? Let’s get started!

Here’s how it works:

- Call the studio for a Consultation. We’ll help you choose the best session for your needs & wishes.
- Choose your portrait time & pay your session fee. All session fees are pre-paid to hold your time slot.
- Have a portrait session like you’ve never had before- relax, and leave everything to us.
- About two weeks after your session, you’ll be given access to your online gallery of up to 30 images. If you wish, you may also come to the office for an ordering session. Coming in for an ordering session is a great benefit, because you can see the possibilities in person!
- Place your order.
- You’ll receive your order in three-four weeks.
- Enjoy your new portraits!!!

*When should I book?

For maternity sessions, call as soon as you can to get on the calendar. It’s best to plan your maternity session for your late 7th or early 8th month of pregnancy. This way, you’re not too uncomfortable, but your sweet belly is nice and round. Newborns are best scheduled before your baby is 2 weeks old. Babies are more “bendable” then, and get more resistant to being posed after the 2 week mark. For children & families, we like to recommend early morning appointments, as young children do best at this time. However, you know your children best! Schedule for the time of day that you know they’re happiest. Sessions are often booked up to two months in advance, but sometimes as late as three days before- so just call and get on the schedule! Certain times of the year have to keep a wait-list for appointment times. It’s always better to call sooner than you think you need to, just to make sure you get the day &  time you want!

*What is a Yet To Be session like?

Yet To Be Sessions are easy and (gasp!) fun!  We make sure to keep it easy and light-hearted.  These sessions are usually at your home or an outdoor location. Sessions last anywhere from 30-90 minutes.  You may bring changes of clothing, and up to 5 people (or your immediate family) for the portraits.

*What should you wear for your session?

Keep it simple!

For newborns, we recommend nothing at all! Newborns are beautiful in the buff. For children, bright colors typically are best. Clean lines, and comfortable clothes allow your child to be themselves. It’s usually best to avoid pastels & pale prints. We usually discuss wardrobe during our initial consultation with you.

If you’re looking for something new for your session, here are some shops we love:
