Here’s the story:
When I started my venture into professional photography, I wanted a name that reflected my heart, and didn’t think “Heather Wamble Photography” was the name I was looking for- it just didn’t sound right. And, I can’t tell you how many folks can’t pronounce my last name!
I keep notes, funny things/quotes, all kinds of things written in the last pages and margins of my Bible. I turned there to help me name my business. One of the first things I saw was a simple entry, with my father’s name, that says, “The best is yet to be.”
It was the title of a sermon my daddy preached one Sunday when I was home from college. The lesson was simple: No matter your circumstances in life, if you are a child of God, you have the hope of heaven to keep you going. Your life may be wonderful- you could ask for nothing more on this earth. Or, your life may be horrible- couldn’t get any worse. If you’re a child of God, your best is yet to be! Because you’re striving onward. Because we should keep growing. Because it’s a journey. Because your best is yet to be.
“I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 3:14
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Rom. 8:28
